ChatGPT Ads Launch & Scale

Turn your existing Google/Meta/Microsoft ads into an upload-ready ChatGPT Ads campaign. 9-step workflow covering campaign structure, 100+ reviewed ads, context hints, and conversion tracking.

Before launch: Every ad, context hint, URL, and image must be reviewed by a qualified human for accuracy, completeness, brand fit, policy compliance, and legal approval.

What You Need Before You Start

Exported ad files from Google Ads, Meta, or Microsoft (CSV/XLSX)

Your website domain and priority landing pages

List of approved claims and offers from existing ads

Approved public image URLs or image assets

Campaign Schema Template from Ads Manager

Optional: Static UTM strategy for tracking

Quality Bar for Success

At Least 100 Reviewed Ads

People describe the same need in many ways. Scale covers different customer intents, not just rewrites.

Distinct Creative Angles

Ads target different problems, goals, tradeoffs, constraints, comparisons, and budgets — not minor variations.

Source-Supported Claims

Every claim, offer, price, and proof point is backed by your exported ads or website. No invented claims.

Balanced Ad Groups

Ads are distributed evenly across focused ad groups and intent clusters.

The 9-Step Workflow

1

Build Approved Claims List

Extract claims, offers, and proof points from your existing ads and website. Flag unsupported, risky, or outdated claims.

Output: Approved / Risky / Unsupported claims table
2

Build the Intent Map

Map your products and landing pages to real user needs. Identify distinct intent clusters your audience searches for.

Output: Products & landing pages mapped to user needs
3

Create Campaign & Ad Group Plan

Design your campaign structure and ad groups. Use the Ads Manager template to ensure proper schema.

Output: Campaign + ad group structure in workbook
4

Generate Context Hints

Build conversational, broad context hints (not keywords) that describe real user needs and conversation themes.

Output: Context hints in the adgroups tab
5

Create Clean Launch Ads

Draft your first set of reviewed ads. Follow copy limits, approved URLs, and claim rules.

Output: First reviewed draft ad set
6

Scale Ads (2 Batches of 50)

Generate two batches of up to 50 new ads each. Cover different intent clusters and landing pages.

Output: 100+ workbook-ready ads
7

Remove Duplicates & Score

Deduplicate ads. Score each row as Keep/Fix/Remove. Remove weak, repetitive, or unsupported rows.

Output: Cleaner draft set with scores
8

Validate the Workbook

Run manual validation checklist. Check schema, URLs, images, character limits, and JSON arrays.

Output: Pass/fix checklist completed
9

Final Review & Upload

A qualified human approves everything. Download the final workbook and upload to ChatGPT Ads Manager.

Output: Final approval + downloadable workbook

Key Concepts That Make This Work

Context Hints Are NOT Keywords

They are broad, conversational, natural-language phrases (4-5 words) describing a real user need, topic, situation, or conversation theme. Avoid vague hints (“software”, “AI”), brand-only hints, and minor rewrites. Must be valid JSON array.

The Workbook Is the Source of Truth

Always refer to fields by header name. Preserve tab names, headers, formatting, and validation. The final workbook contains exactly three tabs: Campaigns, adgroups, ads. No temp tabs.

Ad Copy Limits and URLs

Title: 16-24 chars where possible (max 24). Copy: 32-48 chars where possible (max 48). Use exact landing-page URLs from approved source list. Leave image_link blank and flag if none available.

Scale in Two Batches

No minor rewrites. No invented claims, URLs, or images. Distribute 50 new ads per batch evenly across ad groups and intent clusters.

After Launch: Add Conversion Tracking

Treat conversion tracking as a scale-phase next step, not a launch blocker. Launch first with clean structure, enough distinct ads, validated context hints, and approved landing pages. Then add measurement to connect ChatGPT Ads activity to business results.

Choose between:

  • Conversions API (server-side):Best for reliability and backend events. Requires engineering support.
  • JavaScript Pixel (client-side):Faster setup, good for website-based events. More affected by browser limits.

Validation & Public Resources

Before uploading, run the manual validation checklist in the full skill. Manually open every landing page and image URL in a browser. Confirm a qualified reviewer has signed off on accuracy, completeness, policy fit, and brand fit.
