Synter Pricing Explained: Solo vs. Scale vs. Custom
Our pricing combines a subscription with included usage credits and metered charges for additional work. Solo serves individual builders, Scale adds team and workspace capabilities, and Custom covers larger agency and enterprise requirements. Your ad-platform media budget is separate.
This guide explains our pricing, how credits are claimed, and how to estimate a bill from your expected workload.
Subscriptions and Usage Drive Your Bill
Your software cost is the subscription plus metered usage that exceeds your available credit balance. Include separately metered model usage when forecasting the total.
Three details matter when estimating usage:
- We use the same action catalog across MCP, SDK, CLI, and API. One credit equals $0.025.
- Monthly credits must be claimed each billing period in the app billing portal.
- Additional usage is billed automatically, so monitor both Developer Usage and Model Usage.
- Your media budget is still billed by Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and the rest directly. We never handle your media dollars.
Separate the media budget from software and human delivery costs when comparing us with an agency.
Solo, Scale, or Custom: Which Plan Fits?
Every plan includes full MCP and API access and 27 ad platforms. Included credits, seats, workspaces, and governance features determine which plan fits.
| Solo | Scale | Custom | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $20/month or $200/year | $500/month per workspace | Sales-led |
| Monthly credits | $20 | $500 | Custom allowance |
| Workspaces | 1 | 1 brand workspace, $500/mo for each additional | Multi-client |
| Seats | 1 developer seat | 5 seats per workspace | Unlimited |
| Advertiser accounts | 1 per platform | 1 per platform | Multi-account, MCC and Business Manager |
| Ad platforms | All 27 | All 27 | 27 ad platforms plus custom DSP access |
| MCP and API | Full access | Full access | Full access |
| Built for | Builders and solo operators | Growth teams running one brand | Agencies and enterprise |
Solo includes full MCP and API access, 27 ad platforms, one workspace, one developer seat, and one advertiser account per platform. Monthly billing requires a card and charges $20 at checkout, then monthly. You can cancel anytime.
Scale is priced per workspace, which is the detail that catches people out. Three brands means three workspaces at $500 each, each carrying its own $500 in monthly credits. Scale is also where CRM sync, multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, and role-based access control switch on.
Custom is the sales-led tier for multi-client governance, higher-volume requirements, dedicated infrastructure, custom credit allowances, unlimited seats, and negotiated support. It adds consolidated billing across client workspaces, SSO with SAML and Okta, DSP and CTV access, a white-label client portal, a dedicated customer engineer, and a custom SLA.
What Counts as a "Metered Task"?
We meter individual tool calls rather than assigning a single fixed price to an entire workflow. Standard reads and light writes cost $0.05, while campaign launches cost $5. A workflow can contain several billable calls.
| Action | Rate |
|---|---|
| Reads and light writes | 2 credits / $0.05 |
| Unpriced MCP, SDK, CLI, or API call | 10 credits / $0.25 |
| Campaign launch | 200 credits / $5 |
| Image/video generation | 80 credits / $2 per image; 1,100 credits / $27.50 per video |
Pixel and CAPI ingestion cost zero credits. Check forecast_tool_cost for the live action rates. Developer actions report to Developer Usage; LLM tokens report to Model Usage. Bring-your-own-key LLM calls skip Model Usage, while developer actions remain metered.
How Monthly Credits Work
Claim monthly credits in the app billing portal: $20 on Solo and $500 per Scale workspace. Annual billing makes the full annual allowance available up front: $200 for Solo and $5,000 for Scale. The allowance is a usage balance; confirm the annual subscription charge at checkout.
When credits run out, nothing stops. Agents keep running, and additional usage is metered at the standard rates, billed at month-end.
No card is required to connect ad accounts, pull cross-channel performance, audit pixel health, or draft campaign architectures. A payment method is required for live launches, automations, and verified writes. Paid monthly subscriptions charge at checkout.
How Do You Check a Task's Cost?
Use forecast_tool_cost before a call to inspect its current rate. Estimate a multi-step workflow by adding its calls, including any creative generation.
Check Model Usage separately for LLM tokens. Using your own model key skips Model Usage; it does not remove Developer Usage charges.
What You'd Actually Pay: Worked Examples
Numbers, rather than mechanics.
A solo operator. Assume 100 standard reads at $0.05, two campaign launches at $5, and two image generations at $2. That is $19 of developer usage. With the $20 monthly allowance claimed and available, this example stays within Solo's included credits: the subscription remains $20 before separate model usage, taxes, or other charges.
A brand on Scale. One workspace costs $500/month and includes $500 in claimable monthly usage credits. Assume the following developer workload:
- 1,000 standard reads at $0.05: $50
- 40 campaign launches at $5: $200
- 50 image generations at $2: $100
- 4 video generations at $27.50: $110
The total is $460, within the $500 claimed allowance. If developer usage reaches $560 with no other available credits, the overage is $60, and the subscription plus that overage is $560. Separate model usage and taxes are excluded from this example.
A four-client agency. Four Scale workspaces cost $2,000/month, with $500 in claimable credits per workspace. Forecast usage for each workspace rather than assuming unused credits pool across them. Compare Custom if you need multi-account access, consolidated governance, a client portal, or negotiated support.
The subscription depends on your plan and workspace count. Additional usage depends on the work performed. Media spend is budgeted separately.
Synter vs. an Agency: An Illustrative Comparison
For illustration only, assume an agency charges a $2,500 monthly retainer plus 15% of media spend. Compare that with one $500 Scale subscription before usage overages and human oversight. This is an assumed contract, not a market benchmark or a like-for-like service quote.
| Monthly ad spend | Traditional agency | Scale subscription only | Difference before overages and labor |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $6,250 | $500 | $5,750 |
| $50,000 | $10,000 | $500 | $9,500 |
| $100,000 | $17,500 | $500 | $17,000 |
| $250,000 | $40,000 | $500 | $39,500 |
The Scale column excludes usage above included credits, separate model usage, taxes and the people supervising execution. An agency retainer can include strategy and services that software does not replace.
Compare the actual scope and required staffing before treating the difference as savings. Our Skai comparison covers a separate comparison with enterprise ad-tech tooling.
When This Pricing Model Doesn't Fit You
The right plan depends on workload, workspace count, and governance requirements. A low subscription price alone does not establish the best fit.
- Many small workspaces. Each Scale workspace costs $500/month. For a roster of small client accounts, compare the subscription total and oversight cost with your current delivery model.
- More than one ad account per platform. Solo and Scale are both capped at one advertiser account per platform. Multi-account and MCC or Business Manager access is Custom only.
- More than five people on one workspace. Scale allows five seats per workspace. A sixth person on the same workspace means moving to Custom, which is a sales conversation rather than a checkout.
- SSO below the enterprise tier. SSO is available on Scale and included on Custom, but it is not on Solo. Security requirements can force a tier jump that your usage does not.
- Heavy usage months. Repeated video generation and large automation workloads can exceed the included allowance. Estimate calls before migrations and rebuilds, and monitor usage while they run.
Feature Differences Between Plans
Beyond price and credits, here is what actually changes as you move up:
| Capability | Solo | Scale | Custom |
|---|---|---|---|
| CRM bi-directional sync (Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, Pipedrive) | Not included | Included | Included |
| Multi-touch attribution and incrementality testing | Not included | Included | Included |
| Marketing mix modeling (Google Meridian) | Not included | Included | Included |
| Role-based access control | Not included | Included | Included |
| Real-time multi-user collaboration | Not included | Included | Included |
| Single sign-on (SAML, Okta) | Not included | Available | Included |
| Audit log retention | 7 days | 90 days | Unlimited, SIEM export |
| Uptime SLA | Standard | 99.9% | Custom |
Full MCP and API access and 27 ad platforms are included on Solo, Scale, and Custom. Higher plans add collaboration, attribution, account scope, and governance. Check the platform documentation for the particular actions you need.
Where to Go From Here
If the arithmetic above lands, the pricing page has the full row-by-row breakdown and the signup for Solo and Scale. You can connect ad accounts, pull cross-channel performance, and audit pixel health before entering a card, so the cheapest way to test the model is to run the numbers on your own accounts rather than on the examples here.
If you are running multiple client workspaces, need more than one ad account per platform, or want SSO and a custom SLA, Custom is the sales-led route and starts with a conversation rather than a checkout.

FAQ
What counts as a metered task?
Each tool call is metered at its catalog rate. Standard reads and light writes cost $0.05, unpriced calls default to $0.25, campaign launches cost $5, image generation costs $2, and video generation costs $27.50. Pixel and CAPI ingestion are free.
Are Model Usage and Developer Usage the Same?
No. Developer Usage meters tool calls across MCP, SDK, CLI, and API. Model Usage meters LLM tokens. Bring-your-own-key LLM calls skip Model Usage.
Is Media Spend Part of the Subscription?
No. Your ad-platform media budget is separate from the subscription and usage charges described here.
Do I need a credit card to connect accounts?
No. You can connect accounts, pull performance, audit pixel health, and draft architectures without a card. Live launches, automations, and verified writes require payment details, and monthly paid subscriptions charge at checkout.
Can I add additional workspaces?
Yes, on Scale, at $500 per month per workspace, each carrying its own $500 in monthly credits and billing consolidated. Solo is limited to one workspace.
What happens when my included credits run out?
We continue running your agents and meter usage beyond the available balance at the catalog rates. Additional usage is billed automatically. Check Developer Usage and Model Usage when forecasting your bill.
What is included in Custom?
Custom credit allowances, multi-client workspace governance, SSO, DSP and CTV access, a white-label client portal, consolidated billing, unlimited seats, a dedicated customer engineer, and a custom SLA.
