Introducing The Prospector: An AI Agent That Builds Audiences From Your CRM

The newest member of Synter's agent team turns first-party data and buying signals into precisely-targeted audiences, synced to every ad platform.

The problem with interest targeting

Most ad accounts default to interest-based audiences because they are the path of least resistance: pick a few keywords, let the platform infer, run the campaign. The platform happily delivers impressions. The CPA looks fine for a week. Then it drifts.

Interest audiences are a guess about who you should be talking to. They are downstream of a platform's behavioral model — which is tuned for the platform's revenue, not your CAC. Every serious B2B and high-consideration B2C account we work with eventually hits the same ceiling: interest targeting cannot match the performance of audiences built from your own data.

What The Prospector does

The Prospector is a Synter agent persona built for one job: turn first-party data into precisely-targeted ad audiences and sync them to every platform you care about.

  • CRM segments → audiences. Pull a HubSpot, Attio, or Salesforce segment and push it to Google Customer Match, Meta Custom Audiences, LinkedIn Matched, Reddit, X Tailored, TikTok Custom Audiences, and Microsoft Ads — hashed, deduplicated, and consent-aware.
  • Lookalikes from your best customers. Take a seed list of paying customers (or a high-LTV cohort) and build a lookalike audience on every platform that supports it. Skip Reddit lookalikes — they are weak — and target communities instead.
  • Signal-based audiences. Build audiences from real buying signals: hiring, funding, ad-spend changes, tech installs, intent data. WattData clusters feed in directly so you can target "RevOps leaders at B2B SaaS companies that just raised a Series B."
  • UTM and attribution hygiene. Ensures Attio (or your connected CRM) actually has the UTM attributes to receive campaign attribution back. No more "we ran the ad but the leads don't have a source."

In any Campaign IDE thread, type @Prospector and ask:

Boundaries: what The Prospector does NOT do

We are deliberate about scope. The Prospector builds and activates audiences for paid media. It does not:

  • Send outbound emails or LinkedIn messages — that lives in Synter Outbound, a separate product. Build the audience here, activate via paid media or hand off to Outbound for sequenced touches.
  • Create campaigns or generate creative — hand off to @Builder or @Creative.
  • Sync PII-rich audiences to platforms that do not support hashed matching. GDPR and CCPA are non-negotiable.
